The Read CSV Action Component reads all data from a CSV file in order to process the values in it.
Upload your data:
In this case, we’re uploading this CSV: “Link text”: https://cdn.manula.com/user/1955/docs/data.csv
In the “Step Fields” you can click this icon to read the headers and create the output fields:
This will create the “Step Results” Fields:
You can set the data types of the fields by double clicking on the fields. In this case we want to reflect that the ID is an
int, whereas the name is a
Do it both, in the Step Fields:
As well as the Step Result:
You will see a screen similar to this:
Note that the step fields and the step results have the same color because they have the same data type.
sv. variables refer to the “Step Variables” which are picked up from the CSV’s header name.
The “Step Result” variables is what this step will output for the next step to be taken in as “In Fields”.
As a good example, you can now proceed to the WriteLocalFile to learn how “data out” is turning into “data in” in the next step.
