Because Gravio is a distributed system consisting of either computers (macOS, Windows or Linux) running the HubKit or the Gravio Hub itself, there is a need to coordinate those edge nodes and authenticate the users using the infrastructure. The Gravio Coordinator is designed to do exactly that, amongst other things. A full list of what the Gravio Coordinator is doing is:

  • Authenticate Gravio Infrastructure users by issuing certificates (either in the cloud or on-premise, depending which setup you choose)
  • Collect and display various health check and telemetrics information of the various edge and cloud nodes you might be running
  • Collect the various input data from the various nodes in a central location for further distribution where required
  • The Gravio Coordinator also provides a simple, real-time web statistics dashboard that can be run in “kiosk mode” through any browser

More information about the Gravio Coordinator can be found in the Gravio Coordinator documentation
